what excactly does pcd stand for? as i understand it, its the spacing for wheel studs. how is it measured?

If you were to draw a circular line through all of the stud centres and measure the diameter of that circle that would be the PCD.

You can do a rough measurement by tracing the stud points onto some paper and joining the dots with a compass

The easy way to measure a PCD on a 5 stud is to measure from the centre of one stud to the centre of the wheel and multiply it by 2 to give Diameter, on a 4 stud it's easy, just measure between 2 opposite studs.

Okay sorry. With an even number of studs just measure between 2 opposite studs and with an odd number you need to measure to the middle and multiply by 2.
