Amazing! I'm impressed! I honestly would not have thought it would fit without some big mods, or the dreaded bull nose. Erm, what happened to the front bumper?

pinto into mk1

Postby midniteclassix » Thu Apr 28, 2005 1:15 am

hi all standerd parts are mk2 transit engine gear box with overdrive prop you will also need back axle and the mounts that bolt to the chassie that the engine mounts sit on these are then fitted to the mk1 what are the back bolt holes on the mk1 become the front holes in the chassie mounts this means the engine is aprox 3 inches further back thats all gear stick comes throgh the same hole use the mk2 gater i did away with the mk1 throttel set up and used the mk2 peddel and cable the middle prop bearing bracket was then welded to the support between the chassie having limited enganearing knoledge it was very simple but i did have a few probs i have left the mk1 back axle on as i didnt have a mk2 so i had 2 have a adapter made as dif flange and prop flang are diffrent and you cant put the mk2 flange on a mk1 hope this help you all

i quite like that front bumper arrangement, allows you to use a custom surround for the number plate without it sticking out
