I will post this here as well

I have been in and around Transits for 40 years working on the production line in the 1960s and buying loads of them ever since. Just wait and see what happens to this van it will out sell out drive and out market every van on the road today. I love MK1s and MK2s and own 5 of them but this van is an amazing drive and in the flesh looks great. I drove this van last year and believe me you are all in for a big shock when you get behind the wheel its amazing........ I can remember 1978/9 when the new van came out and the same talk yet we all pine after that van and would kill for a mint one today... the same happened in 1985 and 1995 Transit has to move on and this is the next part of that and it will become all part of the on going transit history.

cabin looks the muts, front end a bit odd, but i suspect it will grow on us all, leaves the rest of the van parc looking decidedly dated. are ford going to get 50 years out of the old girl?

Im delighted with my new shape old van, very comfy and spacious, not to mention how firmer it is on the road compared to other makes, ie: VW, Merc etc, I prefer the one in the very last pic, I see the back lights have a hint of Merc in them, ..........I'll get me coat

I'll be definitely chinging on one of them!

Ill have to go for white and TDCI again. I wasn't keen when i first clicked onto it, but after staring at the pictures for about a hour, it grew on me. LOL

I do think though, that if they have left the back as it is, then they have just cut corners, and left the rear lights looking dated!

The Merc style lights (longer) would have finished it off a treat.

petervanlee,

If they are working on the next generation van already, when will this come out, as i wouldn't want to buy this next one if its going to be superseded within a short period of time?

They were working on the 2000 model back in 1995 so I'm sure it wont change for a good few years yet!
