Thats a hell of a squeeze in there I thought there would be more room.

I had considered a Calibra engine for mine but because I want to keep the auto I reckon I need to keep the exhaust down the same side Plus the cost is way out of my league at present

just been having another look at this i see you have the type 9 box, i dont know if you know but the transit linkage will fit on top of the standard car box and give you the stick coming out neer the front - as it looks like yours has the rear stick



i know its quite a rare part tho

thats very handy to know mate i will look into this as i am looking at doing this conversion as part of the business
but as for my own van its irrelevant as its getting replaced with a quaife 6 speed sequential dogbox

thats very good to know too - ive got a mk1 escort with 200+bhp running a type 9 -well when i say running..... its on bricks at the mo
