Mk5 SWB Wanted

Postby Chaos » Mon Dec 08, 2008 4:52 pm

Hi All,
Just getting back into transits after good few years.
I'm looking for a Mk5 SWB at a sensible price (cash waiting).
Not fussed if its semi high or low roof, petrol or diesel but it must be very very clean and GENUINE low miles.
Need something localish to Bucks/Berks/Oxon/Middx before the end of the week as I start moving house Friday.
Thanks for reading my ramblings :D
Cheers all.

why do you not just either hire a car one way hire !

or

ask the seller if he will drive it to you then you give him a lift back !

or

perhaps there are some people here that can assist you !!

(not me as i live in scotland but you get the jist )

I agree :!:
Distance for the right van, doesn't even come into the equation :D

Make a day of it :!:

150 miles for my BT van, and just done 170 miles for the TD van off Dino.
At least with the van on here you know it genuine.

I know what you all mean - I've travelled miles before now for cars (was young and daft).
Problem is its a long way and a fair cost getting back if it's not what I'm after - I know some of you know the van but I dont and I can't afford to make a mistake.
Went to the auctions today plenty of cheap tatty mk6's for £1000 - £1500 but nowt nice.
Cheers

I would travel a lot further than that, for a van that Madmark says is the one to have :D

I spent two years and wasted a lot of time looking at bodged examples, before I found my MK5
To be pointed straight at one would have been heaven
