Transit 2.5 DI wanted

Postby Galahad » Tue Mar 18, 2008 8:57 pm

Don't care about condition of van or if its a tipper, so long as the engine is good and runs well, thats all I care about.

Want to be able to drive it back to Bath/Bristol, would rather it wasn't a billion miles away, so long as the engines good and it will get me back here, thats all I care about.

must be cheap, looking to spend no more than £200, so I can recover some of my costs by weighing in whats left of the van.

ASAP please folks.

.. you'll be lucky...we can get near to £300 for a good engine alone up here, and £150 for the gearbox, then weigh the rest in for £100. I sold my 99 Mk5 without mot needing a chassis that had been off road 10mths for £500.00 as I was sick of the sight of it. It's already changed hands once. All the engines and gearboxes are being exported to China and India.

I've bought plenty of Transits for considerably less than £200, just never when I actually need them.

Guess I was lucky then, £100 secured a SWB L reg, unfortunately it has a Lucas CAV pump, but hey, it was cheap. ;)
