Transport required Somerset to Kent

Postby clay0001 » Sat Oct 03, 2015 5:34 pm

Hi, I am looking to get my Mk5 from Burnham on Sea, Somerset to Kent, Tim's garage (dieslehead123) on a budget, pretty easy as to when, maybe fit in with a return journey for someone or vice versa. It is a runner just not MOT or Tax

Many Thanks

Have you thought about having an mot booked at the far end and insuring it on a day policy?

Be ok as long as no anpr cams see ya, if your pulled over by an actual cop, least you can state 'on way to pre booked mot' but Cams and automatically issued fines wont account for that, as they are robots!
Just gaffer tape over sharp edges, get a test done then drive her down!

would you not be able to contest a automatic fine if you had a letter confirming a pre booked MOT?

I'm pretty sure your only allowed to drive to the nearest mot station when pre booked when you have no mot and drive directly to the station and no stopping on the way at a shop etc.
