Remap advice/guidance

Hi, I've looked but can see anything covered, apologies if it has....
I've got a 65, 2.2litre, 125bhp custom with 121k miles on it and would like it mapped.

Everyone I've spoken to suggest a stage 1 to 180bhp and I'd like to know....

Is 180bhp too much for a van with this mileage? How do I know whether the gearbox, clutch etc can take 180bhp? I've heard that if it's mapped to 180bhp, the fan will be always on and it's no good for the van!
Does anyone have any experience of this??

I can only recommend that you have a chat with Vantuner, before you let anyone loose on your expensive engine/gearbox

With a diesel engine, it's not the BHP that's important, it's how much torque that it can produce. Too much torque and you'll destroy the transmission components
