A BCM can be bought secondhand, if you can match the important numbers, fitted and programmed in using Forscan or IDS.
Vantuner did mine for me in a couple of hours, but other clever techs are almost certainly available.

Unfortunately the dead camper is in the main dealer , locked up and would be an almighty fuss to move it . And then I’d be there making a mess removing and replacing it - it’s worth the kidney I’m selling to pay for the service
But I thought it was going to be the BCM . I did see cheap second hand ones but then got told not all are reprogrammable
