I'm a happy user of Transit MK5 from 1996. It's in "family" since the beggining of 1998 (previosly we used to own 1993 MK4). LWB with mid-roof, 2.5l @ 76 HP running Bosch system.
Two years ago it was put into bushes as no longer needed. In the mid of 2008 the restoration started - I decided to do this as most of my teen-summer-memories were related with this car :] I can not watch the car finnishing its life on a junk yard.
Unfortunatelly I have no possibility to work on my own - no suitable place, no proper tools and no enough time and most probably not enough knowledge either - so body work and some mechanical things like engine overhaul after 490 000 km and front suspension etc. were done in dedicated workshops.
I focused on the interior - which after 10 years in a construction company had nothing common with what I supposed a family van should look
I replaced the floor finishing gum, both front seats (these were in really bad shape), added some plastic elements and also gave new home-made side walls. Also front lights were replaced. Now I'm working on a new ceiling material and when only the weather will be a little better - I'll spent some time - and money
Unfortunately I have no photos on the previous stages of the restoration, but this is how my Tranny looked in November 2008. Now I'll make photo diary and when I start the work I'll setup dedicated thread on the forum

thanks
