Yeah I feel for ya too Matt, bloody mk7's, you would've sorted on a mk 5, I've been having a nightmare with my daughter's mk7 with an intermittent immobiliser issue, been trying to sort it since October too, I've picked all the best brains I can think of and tried new keys, ignition switch, transceiver, checking wiring/fuses/connections etc and we still cannot fathom it. Good luck mate.

Im having no luck with this...

I ordered 2 more injectors.... so all 4 would de done.

They sent 1 with no correction factors. A BFH or fire is becoming more and more of a possibility

2 more recon injectors fitted....

And I couldn't get it to fire from cold :( but it wasn't happy until pump/pilot learns were done. Its passed them now.

But its gone back to - restart immediately and its ok...wait 10 seconds and it cranks for ages until it fires (hot). I need to wait for it too cool but I fully expect it not to start again tomorrow.

Im thinking there might be air ingress at the high pressure pump itself :( it builds pressure - but it then drops as soom as the injectors fire suggesting it can't move enough diesel for some reason. If it doesn't fire tomorrow.Im goung to put a seperate gravity fed tank straight to the injection pump

if you had all the knowledge and equipment this guy has ..you'd be happy by now :D

watch this

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-u0nNDlOzk

he comes to the conclusion that it has bad hydraulic lifters ..only done 36,000 :o
Garage sent it to him after they gave up with it, after finding bad injectors and replacing lots of other stuff.

Due to personal circumstances....

b*stard Van is going to be looked at by the mechanic next door who will fit the new chain kit (genuine chain and tensioner), change the high pressure pump and change the oil...

Fingers crossed!

Ok... so with everything pinned - the engine locks up.

Either the boss on the exhaust cam has slipped - or its been fitted with the wrong flywheel?

If the crank is pinned correctly in the correct hole and the flywheel is the right one, the inlet cam is correct, the exhaust cam seems to be 45 degrees advanced...which would equate to ~90 degrees of crank rotation. Can't understand how it can "advance" if slipped or jumped, they usually go the other way. The inlet cam is the one which normally jumps as theres only 6-7 teeth in contact with the chain.

Might be a rocker cover off job to see if there is any other damage to rockers or rocker ladder etc.

Strange one this Matt.

I think that chain has slipped on the inlet and the crank...
