How complicated does it have to get? Design and utility for the user needs to be considered.

Perfection is reached, not when there's nothing left to add, but when there's nothing left to remove.

It's hardly complicated, there are two separate circuits, each powered by a single battery, which ensure that no matter how long you spend loading/unloading the van with the doors open, and the radio on, the starter battery will have enough power to start the engine.

A few years ago one battery would suffice.

I leave mine for weeks without using it in the fairly sure knowlwedge there will have been no drian on the starter battery.

Can leave it with the external work lights on, internal lights and inverter running. And it will still start when I need it.

Has that battery been checked? I can't see any result other than a comment ford checked it? But they are not always clued up on the twin battery.

I also have the exact same issue. Key fob not working and radio requiring passcode each time turning on the ignition. Lord Knobrot is bang on the money with the battery issue. Front one died so sacked it off and have been running the van on 1 battery. No issues other than the key. All connections in place as far as I can tell but don’t know what I don’t know.

OP did you get your issue sorted? If so what was the resolution please?
After saying his lordship was spot on you don't replace battery and still on about stuff still not working.......Just replace the fooked battery that's supposed to be there...is not rocket science bud
