Rubber trim arround the windshield (the inside one)

Postby trashpanda » Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:12 am

Hey guys
So i was driving my Cabin van on a bumpy road and all the suddently my windshield rubber trim fell off, i'm talking about a seal that goes arround the windshield on the inside.
Is this a common fault? i can't seem to get it back in place should i glue it in place? should i buy another one?

I know the trim you mean.

Its only aesthetic and forms no practical function. Its not common for it to fall off! In theory it should just push back on, but it is squeezed by the glass - so may be virtually impossible to get back in to place without taking the windscreen out.

If you pull gently it will all come away and you won't be left with it dangling
