Mk1/2 Mudflaps - do you want some on yours ??

Postby Luke » Fri Jun 16, 2006 10:27 pm

Chances are your mk1 or mk2 mudflaps will have fell off  mine had :( i did see a nos set on ebay i think they were £60 or £70  so there not cheep. anyway i managed to get hold of a 2nd hand set a while back and after looking at them i dont think it would be too difficult to copy them providing you have all the measurements. :D

so ...................... here they are

Image

as you can see from the pic they have a recess in them- this would be difficult to reproduce so i'd just make them plain, theres not many who will notice

Image

they are fitted with 5 pop rivits (1/4"?) - but make sure you get the large head ones :!: and the thickness of the rubber is 6mm :!:

the ford part number for these is 70VB16023AB

now im not sure if all 4 are the same but i can only find these 2 which i think are the front when i find the back ones i will edit them in :D

and btw these are for a swb - not sure if lwb is different :?

:) yep every mk1 and 2 needs them they just dont look write without and normaly if they are missings its because they were ripped off or fell off because of rust to crosmember! :?
also a nice touch is to recut them out of lorry mudflaps (clear pass) so you get the anti spay!
