Mk7 to mk8 tipper tail lights.

I am currently upgrading my mk7 tipper tail lights to the mk8 ones
I have purchased the wiring harness upgrade from eBay which is meant to be a plug and play
But the connector plug doesn’t fit the vehicle plug. Has anyone done this and how did you get the lights wired up

You could get a sealed water Proof box bolt it to the chassis with chocolate block connectors inside

You could uses those heat shrink solder tubes.

Do you think. Just cut the plugs off the harness?
And solder the wires ?

They used them at work on the PSVs but they started using the box method as they still had problems with them this wasn’t me doing the job but the company auto electrician .after that they Had no more problems.

I’ve not had any trouble with them but I do use normal heat shrink tubing over the top.

Hi mate did you manage to cut and rewire the wires? I'm trying to do the same but unable to find anywhere on what wires on the mk8 lights to wire to the mk7 plugs
